Meals are delivered fresh on Sunday getting your family ready for the school week.

When does the menu change?

We make adjustment to the menu on a monthly basis. We do, however, have staples that stay on the menu at all times. Additionally, we have a seasonal selection on our menu of two lunches that rotates monthly based on ingredients in season
that we source from local farms. 

Where are LunchBreak’s meals cooked?

Our lunches are cooked in a licensed kitchen in Redondo Beach.

How do I edit my weekly meals?

Once you sign up, you’ll have the ability to login to your account at any time, to adjust your weekly lunches. Additionally, we’ll send you reminder through email and text about the week’s upcoming orders to give you ample time to adjust if

How do I keep my meals fresh?

All food containers are labeled with a best eaten by expiration date. If you are unable to eat in time, just throw the lunch in the freezer. All containers are freezer safe. 

How Do I Change My Lunch Plan Quantity?

We keep this instruction section at the bottom for a reason: It’s kind of a pain. However, we learned that it takes around 3 minutes and 30 seconds to adjust. Coincidentally, that is the exact length of Duran Duran’s song Hungry Like The

1. Within your account page, click the “Manage Subscription” link on the right hand side.

2. From the manage subscription screen, scroll down to the bottom of the active subscription you would like to cancel.

3. Click the Cancel subscription accordion.

4. Fill out why you are canceling the order. Click the cancel subscription link in the bottom right hand corner.

5. Your Active Subscription is now canceled NOT YOUR ACCOUNT, JUST YOUR SUBSCRIPTION!

6. Next, go to the Meal Plan Section of the site and choose your next meal plan.

7. Select your meal options and checkout as normal.
This will now set you up with your new meal plan!

Storage and Serving Tips

• Please refrigerate all meals, except dry goods, immediately after opening the box.

*All meals are chilled below 41° F before packaged, guaranteeing safety.

• We recommend eating meals within four days of delivery. If unable to eat, throw it in the freezer. Our containers are freezer friendly.

Recommended Heating Instructions for Hot Meals

Microwave: Remove lid and microwave for 1-1:30 minutes

Option 1: Enjoy immediately (caution, hot)

Option 2: Place food in in your preferred container for lunching on the go (ideally, within 4 hours of heating or removing from the refrigerator)

Oven (if you have the time, it’s going to taste better). Remove meal from container and place on oven safe tray.

Preheat oven to 350° F

Place meal in oven for 10-15 minutes.

Safety Measures

Although all of our food containers are designed to fit into a child’s lunchbox, we recommend that you use a vacuum seal insulated lunch box to keep lunches hot and cold.


Keeping Hot Lunches Hot

Fill the container with boiling water, let stand for a few minutes, empty, and then put in the piping hot food. Keep the insulated container closed until lunchtime to keep the food hot — 140 °F (73.9 °C) or above.

Keeping Cold Lunches Cold

To keep lunches cold away from home, include at least two cold sources. You can use two frozen gel packs (not smaller than 5×3-inches each) or combine a frozen gel pack with a frozen juice box or frozen bottle of water. Freeze gel packs
overnight. When packing your bag lunch, place them on top and bottom of the perishable food items to keep them cold. Of course, if there’s a refrigerator available at work or school, store perishable items there upon arrival. If you place
your insulated bag in the refrigerator, leave the lid or bag open so that cold air can keep the food cold. Some food is safe without a cold source. Items that don’t require refrigeration include whole fruits and vegetables, hard cheese,
canned meat and fish, chips, breads, crackers, peanut butter, jelly, mustard, and pickles.

Microwave Cooking/Reheating

When using the microwave oven to reheat lunches, cover food to hold in moisture and promote safe, even heating. Reheat leftovers to at least 165 °F (73.9 °C), making sure to use a food thermometer to be sure a safe temperature has been
reached before consuming the food. Cook frozen convenience meals according to package instructions.

During these uncertain times, our goal is to make sure that we are doing everything we can to deliver fresh lunches to your doorstep in the safest and healthiest way possible. Our FDA and USDA inspected kitchen facility complies with all
USDA standards, including masks, gloves, hairnets, and cleaning practices.

Additionally, our delivery team is all LunchBreak employees, ensuring that all drivers adhere to our kitchen staff’s safety standards.

Furthermore, all staff members who exhibit signs of illness are not allowed to work and given full paid time off.
